<Andreas Bührig-Polaczek> coauthored <Grain Selection in a High-Efficiency 2D Grain Selector During Casting of Single-Crystal Superalloys by Xintao Zhu and others>. The experiments use <optical microscopy> and <electron backscatter diffraction> to follow competitive growth of <crystal grains> in a <nickel-based superalloy>. Varying the selector geometry tests how one <crystal grain> survives to form a <single crystal>.<Grain Selection in a High-Efficiency 2D Grain Selector During Casting of Single-Crystal Superalloys by Xintao Zhu and others>[author list and abstract]{ref}
