For the defining SU(2) action η′=Aη, the conjugate row ηˉα=(ηα)∗ transforms by A†=A−1. Thus ηˉαηα is invariant. The alternating invariant tensor ϵ12=1 satisfies ATϵA=ϵ. Choose its inverse ϵ12=−1; then ϵαγϵγβ=δαβ. Raising the conjugate index, ηα=ϵαβηˉβ, gives another defining spinor. The resulting antilinear intertwiner squares to −I, so the defining representation is a pseudoreal representation.
