A corotational Jeffreys fluid obeys S∘+S/τ=2μ0D∘+2μ1D/τ, with deviatoric stress S, rate-of-strain tensor D, Jaumann derivative and relaxation time τ>0. Put A=S−2μ0D. In the corotating-frame representation of a Jaumann derivative, A′+A/τ=2(μ1−μ0)D/τ. An integrating factor gives an exponentially weighted history transported between the rotating frames. The infinite-past formula selects histories with et/τA(t)→0 as t→−∞; finite initial data also contribute an exponentially decaying homogeneous term.
