In the completed natural Brownian filtration, suppose dSt/St=μtdt+σtdWt with σt=0, and let dζt=−ζt(rtdt+κtdWt), κt=(μt−rt)/σt. For an affordable nonnegative terminal claim X, represent the conditional-expectation martingale Nt=E[ζTX∣Ft] as dNt=htdWt. Then wt=Nt/ζt and the displayed dollar amount in the stock replicate X. The Itô product rule gives d(ζw)=ζ(σθ−κw)dW, proving the formula; share holdings are θt/St.
