With the plus-sign convention Dμ=∂μ+igT3Wμ3+ig′YBμ, let tanθW=g′/g and Aμ=sinθWWμ3+cosθWBμ. The coefficient of Aμ is gsinθWT3+g′cosθWY=e(T3+Y), where e=gsinθW=g′cosθW. The extra minus sign in the interaction Lagrangian comes from the i in ψˉiγμDμψ. It reproduces the electric charges of every component of an Standard Model representation.
