The kinetic electron Fermi temperature is TF=[me2c4+pF2c2−mec2]/kB, where the Fermi momentum pF=ℏ(3π2ne)1/3 counts the net Electrons. Strong degeneracy requires T≪TF. With mean molecular weight per electron μe and ne=ρ/(μemu), TF=(mec2/kB)[1+(ρ/ρ∗)2/3−1]. Its nonrelativistic and ultrarelativistic limits scale as ρ2/3 and ρ1/3, respectively.
