On an open domain invariant under positive scaling, Dfx(x)=cf(x) implies f(λx)=λcf(x). Indeed, dλd[λ−cf(λx)]=λ−c−1[Dfλx(λx)−cf(λx)]=0. The converse follows by differentiating the scaling identity at λ=1. Connectedness of the whole domain is unnecessary: the argument works along each positive ray.
