For a nonnegative Riemann-integrable function and an interval partition,
∏k(1+mkΔxk)≤e∑kmkΔxk≤e∫abf(x)dx,mk=inf[xk−1,xk]f.

Every factor is nonnegative, so multiplication of 1+t≤et is legitimate. The final step uses the lower-sum bound on the Riemann integral.
