From f1=O(g1) and f2=O(g2) one cannot generally deduce f2∘f1=O(g2∘g1). For f1(n)=2n, g1(n)=n and f2(n)=g2(n)=2n, the two premises hold, but the ratio of the compositions is 2n, which is unbounded. A constant scaling of an inner argument can change the growth order after an exponential function is applied.
