Half-plane Fourier projection (Pvg(ξ)=1{ξ⋅v<0}g(ξ))

The half-plane Fourier projection is (I−iHv)/2, where Hv is the directional Hilbert transform. A disk of radius R, modulated to put a boundary point at the origin, has symbol 1{∣ξ+Rv∣≤R}, which converges almost everywhere to this half-plane symbol. The Plancherel theorem makes this an L2 multiplier limit.
