On a compact oriented Riemannian manifold without boundary, the Generalized Stokes theorem applied to fιXωg gives the displayed identity. The product expansion is d(fιXωg)=[X(f)+fdivX]ωg. With boundary, the omitted boundary integral is ∫∂MfιXωg.
