A periodic orbit entering the local flow x˙=x2+k2 at a fixed negative ν and leaving at positive h has passage time Tloc=[arctan(h/k)−arctan(ν/k)]/k∼π/k. The same coefficient holds if −ν/k→∞. It is not uniform in the joint limit ν,k→0: if ν/k→−C, the leading coefficient is π/2+arctanC. For entry at zero it is π/2, while entry at a fixed positive ν gives bounded passage time. These distinctions matter near a saddle-node separatrix-loop bifurcation.
