For a chemically uniform, gas-pressure-supported stellar homology with Kramers' opacity law and specific heating ϵ=ϵ0ρTν, radiative diffusion in a star gives L∝κ0−1μ15/2M11/2R−1/2. Nuclear heating gives L∝ϵ0μνMν+2R−ν−3. Equating them yields Rν+5/2∝ϵ0κ0μν−15/2Mν−7/2. Thus ν=7/2 gives a mass-independent radius, whereas ν=23/2 gives R∝M4/7 and L∝M73/14. The coefficients and dimensionless profiles must be fixed; this is an idealized radiative model rather than a universal stellar law.
