The age of a flat matter-Lambda universe is H0t0=2arsinh(1−Ωm)/Ωm/(31−Ωm). The large-argument expansion arsinhz=log(2z)+O(z−2) gives the first limit. Its small-argument expansion arsinhz=z+O(z3) gives the second. The divergence at the pure-vacuum endpoint reflects the absence of a finite Big Bang time in the expanding flat de Sitter spacetime patch.
