Persistence of a specified network property under a specified class of perturbations. Robustness of connectivity and robustness of dynamical function are different questions.
Alternative routes or components can preserve function after failure, provided they do not share the same relevant failure mode.
Maintenance or recovery of specified network performance after a disturbance, including its transient response and recovery time.
A failure changes loads or dependencies so that further components fail. Connectivity of the surviving graph alone does not determine whether a cascade occurs.
