An O'Raifeartaigh model is a theory of chiral superfields whose F-term equations cannot all vanish. Supersymmetry is therefore spontaneously broken, and the classical scalar potential commonly contains a flat pseudomodulus direction.
A pseudomodulus is a classically flat scalar direction in a supersymmetry-breaking vacuum. Quantum corrections usually generate an effective potential along it without restoring simultaneous F-flatness.
