For an open matter-dominated Friedmann solution, put u=H01−Ω0τ, a=Ω0(coshu−1)/[2(1−Ω0)] and coshu0=2/Ω0−1. The cosmological bolometric background from conserved sources has J(u)=sinh(2u)/4−2sinhu+3u/2, since J′=(coshu−1)2 and dt=adu/[H01−Ω0]. At fixed H0, the limit Ω0→0 is cLn0/(2H0), whereas the Einstein-de Sitter universe gives 2cLn0/(5H0). Keeping the cosmic age fixed instead reverses this ordering: the two values are respectively cLn0t0/2 and 3cLn0t0/5.
