For 1≤p<∞ and probability measures with finite pth absolute moments,
Wp(μ,ν)=(infπ∈Π(μ,ν)∫ρ(x,y)pdπ(x,y))1/p,
(1)
where ρ is the ground metric and π ranges over transport plans. For p=2 this is the second Wasserstein distance.
