Integrating the Weibull distribution density gives F(x)=1−exp(−xα/β) for x>0. Inverse transform sampling therefore gives
X=[−βlog(1−U1)]1/α.
(1)
Replacing 1−U1 by U1 produces the same probability distribution. Both uniforms belong to (0,1) with probability one. Here the conventional Weibull scale is β1/α, rather than β.
