b
The per-observation Fisher information is I(θ)=Eθ[(∂θlogf(X1,θ))2]. Since
∂θ2logf=ffθθ−(ffθ)2,
(1)
and the integral of fθθ is the second derivative of 1, the regularity assumptions give
I(θ)=−Eθ[∂θ2logf(X1,θ)].
(2)
For independent observations the total Fisher information is nI(θ), because centered individual score functions have zero cross terms.
