b
The physical particle horizon is
dH(t)=a(t)∫0ta(t′)cdt′.
(1)
For an Einstein-de Sitter universe, a(t)∝t2/3, so
dH(t0)=t02/3c∫0t0t′−2/3dt′=3ct0.
(2)
Since H0=2/(3t0),
dH(t0)=H02c.
(3)
The Horizon problem is that widely separated regions of the observed universe have nearly identical conditions even though, in a decelerating standard Big Bang history, their past light cones do not overlap early enough to establish causal thermal equilibrium.
