The maximum flow is not unique. For any x∈[1,2], set
f(Sa)=f(ad)=1,f(Sb)=3,f(Sc)=f(ce)=4,
(1)
and split the flow from b by
f(bd)=x,f(be)=3−x.
(2)
Flow conservation then requires
f(dT)=1+x,f(eT)=7−x.
(3)
All capacities are respected precisely throughout the displayed interval, and every member of this one-parameter family has value 8. For example, x=1 and x=2 give distinct maximum flows.
