No. Define
fn(x)=x2+n1.
(1)
Each fn is a differentiable function on [−1,1], while
0≤fn(x)−∣x∣=x2+1/n+∣x∣1/n≤n1.
(2)
Thus fn converges uniformly to the absolute value function ∣x∣, which is not differentiable at 0. Uniform convergence alone therefore does not preserve differentiability.
