The polynomial T3+3T+3 is Eisenstein at 3, so part (ii) gives
3∤[OK:Z[α]].
(1)
For a cubic T3+aT+b, the polynomial discriminant is −4a3−27b2. Here
disc(1,α,α2)=−4⋅33−27⋅32=−351=−33⋅13.
(2)
The discriminant-index formula for an integral lattice says
−351=[OK:Z[α]]2dK.
(3)
Any prime dividing the index must therefore occur to at least the second power in 351; the only possibility is 3, which has already been excluded. The index is one, and hence
OK=Z[α].
