Write the sine argument as π/2+δ, with δ=2π(ex−1)=2πx+4πx2+O(x3). The sine addition formula gives sin(π/2+δ)=cosδ. Its Maclaurin series is 1−δ2/2+O(δ4), so
sin(2πex)=1−8π2x2+O(x3).
(1)
There is no linear term because the outer sine has zero derivative at π/2.
