The monotone convergence theorem states that for nonnegative measurable functions fn↑f almost everywhere, ∫f=limn∫fn, allowing the value +∞.
The dominated convergence theorem states that if measurable functions fn→f almost everywhere and ∣fn∣≤g almost everywhere for some integrable g, then f is integrable and ∫fn→∫f. In fact ∫∣fn−f∣→0 as well. Both statements apply on any measure space.
