Radiation energy density (U/V=∫0∞u(ω)dω)

The spectral radiation energy density u(ω) is defined per unit angular frequency and physical volume. Thermal Planck law convention excludes the vacuum zero-point term. A density per ordinary frequency instead obeys uω=uν/(2π), evaluated at ν=ω/(2π); Einstein coefficients multiplying these densities must be converted correspondingly.
