W. M. Macek and D. T. M. Davis, Jr., Applied Physics Letters 2(3), 67–68, 1 February 1963. Original first page reproduced in the INFN-hosted research presentation agenda.infn.it/event/7524/contributions/68390/attachments/49528/58554/Schreiber.pdf . The reproduced byline, opening apparatus paragraph and Figure 1 identify a continuous-wave He-Ne ring laser using the 1.153-micrometre line, a metre-square resonator, four gas tubes with Brewster windows, four external corner mirrors and combining optics/photocathode readout. Author initials are preserved; no full-name identity inference is made.
