For the conformal metric with g0i=−a2∂iB and trace-free scalar spatial shear Eij=(∂i∂j−δij∇2/3)E, the passive coordinate change η=η+T, xi=xi+∂iL gives the displayed rules and ϕ=ϕ+HT+∇2L/3. The combination C=ϕ+∇2E/3 changes by HT, while B+v changes by T. Hence R=−C+H(B+v) is the comoving curvature perturbation in this sign convention.
