In unitary gauge, ϕ=(0,(v+h)/2)T gives 8g2(v+h)2AμaAaμ. With potential 2λ(ϕ†ϕ−v2/2)2, the physical scalar has mh2=λv2 and interactions −λvh3/2−λh4/8. This normalization matters when extracting both masses and identical-leg Feynman vertices.
