For n≥4, identify M(n−2,12) with the permutation module on ordered pairs (i,j) with i=j. Let p1(i,j)=ei, p2(i,j)=ej, and q(i,j)={i,j}. With U=kerp1 and V=U∩kerp2, one has a Specht filtration
0<S(n−2,12)=ker(q∣V)<V<U<kerε<M(n−2,12)
(1)
whose successive quotients are
S(n−2,12),S(n−2,2),S(n−1,1),S(n−1,1),S(n).
(2)
The same construction for n=3 omits the zero S(n−2,2) factor.
