In a canonical Wess–Zumino model, complete the static transverse energy into ∣ϕ′−eiαW′∣2+2Re(e−iαdW/dz). Choosing the phase of ΔW gives the tension bound. A solution of the displayed first-order equation attains it and preserves two of four real supercharges. For W=μ2Φ/g−gΦ3/3, ϕ(z)=(μ/g)tanh(μz) interpolates between the two vacua and has tension 8μ3/(3g2).
