For the gradient superpotential Hamiltonian in supersymmetric quantum mechanics, H0=∑aAa†Aa. A zero-energy normalizable wavefunction therefore satisfies Aaf=0 for every a, because its energy is ∑a∥Aaf∥2. Equivalently ∂a(e−χf)=0, so on a connected configuration space f=Ceχ. It exists in the Hilbert space precisely when eχ is square-integrable. In three dimensions with radial χ, this requires 4π∫0∞r2e2χ(r)dr<∞. The sign depends on the convention A=∂−∂χ; the filled sector instead has the possible zero mode e−χ.
