Gérard Bricogne is a prominent French scientist known for his contributions to the field of X-ray crystallography. He is particularly recognized for his work in the development of software and methodologies for the analysis of crystal structures. Bricogne has been involved in creating tools that aid researchers in obtaining and interpreting crystallographic data, which is essential for understanding the molecular structures of a wide range of substances, including biological macromolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids.
Gustav Rose refers to a few different topics depending on the context, so I'll outline the most notable ones: 1. **Gustav Rose (1798-1873)**: He was a prominent German mineralogist and geologist known for his work in studying minerals and their properties. Rose made significant contributions to the classification and description of minerals and was instrumental in developing mineralogy as a science.
"Guo Kexin" does not appear to be a widely recognized term or name based on my data up to October 2023. It might refer to a specific person, a fictional character, or a term that is context-specific and not broadly known.
Gunnar Hägg is not a widely recognized term or individual in popular culture, history, or notable fields as of my last update. However, it could refer to a specific person, possibly related to athletics, academia, or another domain, but without additional context, it's challenging to provide a concrete answer.
Gottlob Linck was a notable figure in German history, primarily known for his role as a meister of the art of puppetry in the 18th century. However, he is perhaps most infamously recognized for his criminal activities, specifically being a serial killer. Linck was active in the late 1700s, and his deeds led to his arrest and execution.
Gerhard Schmidt is a notable figure in the field of crystallography, which is the study of crystals and their atomic structure. He is known for his contributions to the understanding of crystal structures and related phenomena. Schmidt has authored and co-authored numerous scientific papers and worked on various aspects of crystallography, particularly in the context of materials science and chemistry.
Gerard Kleywegt is a mathematician known primarily for his work in the field of computer science and mathematical logic. He has made significant contributions to areas such as formal methods, algorithm design, and data structures.
Georges Friedel (1898–1977) was a French crystallographer known for his work in the field of crystallography and material science. He is particularly recognized for contributions related to the understanding of crystal structures and the development of techniques for the study of solid materials. Friedel is also known for his work on the Friedel law in crystallography, which describes certain symmetry in the diffraction patterns of crystals.
George W. Brindley might refer to various people or contexts, but it is not a widely recognized name as of my last update.
As of my last update in October 2023, there is no widely recognized individual by the name of Geoff Jameson that stands out in popular culture, academia, or history. It's possible that he could be a private individual, a local figure, or a professional in a specific field not covered in mainstream sources.
Fritz Laves is a distinguished figure in the field of materials science and engineering, particularly known for his contributions to the study of crystal structures and the mechanical properties of materials. He is credited with significant research on alloy systems and phase transformations. The Laves phases, named after him, are a class of intermetallic compounds that exhibit unique properties and are of interest for various applications in materials science.
Friedrich Rinne may refer to a few different individuals or concepts, but one notable reference is to Friedrich Rinne, a German zoologist known for his work in the field of marine biology and particularly for his contributions to the study of mollusks.
Friedrich Liebau is not widely known in public discourse, and there may be limited information available about individuals with that name. It’s possible you are referring to a specific person in a niche field, like academia, science, or the arts, but without additional context, it's difficult to provide accurate information.
Friedrich Haag is not widely recognized in historical or popular contexts as a notable figure or entity. Without additional context, it is unclear if you are referring to a person, a location, or something else entirely.
Frank Allen is a chemist known for his contributions to the field of chemistry, particularly in the context of structural chemistry and crystallography. He is best recognized for his work in developing and promoting methods and tools for the analysis of crystal structures. One of his significant contributions is related to the development of electronic databases and software that aid in the determination and visualization of molecular structures.
Fan Haifu (范海福) is a Chinese composer and musician known for his contributions to film and television scores, as well as traditional Chinese music. He has gained recognition for his ability to blend modern musical techniques with classical Chinese elements, creating a unique sound.
Evgraf Fedorov may refer to a number of individuals or topics, but without additional context, it's challenging to provide a specific answer. One well-known figure named Evgraf Fedorov was a Russian painter and one of the leading figures of the Russian avant-garde movement. Additionally, there could be contemporary references or different individuals with the same name in various fields such as science, literature, or other areas.
As of my last knowledge update in October 2021, there is no widely known individual or concept by the name of Drago Grdenić. It is possible that he may be a private individual, a local figure, or someone who has gained relevance after my last update.
David Hall is a chemist known for his contributions to the field of organic chemistry, particularly in areas related to synthesis and reaction mechanisms. His work often involves the development of new synthetic methodologies and understanding chemical reactivity.
Christian Samuel Weiss is a name that may refer to various individuals, but it is most notably associated with a 19th-century German artist known for his work in painting and possibly other artistic endeavors. However, there isn't extensive widely-known information about him in historical or art contexts.

Pinned article: Introduction to the OurBigBook Project

Welcome to the OurBigBook Project! Our goal is to create the perfect publishing platform for STEM subjects, and get university-level students to write the best free STEM tutorials ever.
Everyone is welcome to create an account and play with the site: ourbigbook.com/go/register. We belive that students themselves can write amazing tutorials, but teachers are welcome too. You can write about anything you want, it doesn't have to be STEM or even educational. Silly test content is very welcome and you won't be penalized in any way. Just keep it legal!
We have two killer features:
  1. topics: topics group articles by different users with the same title, e.g. here is the topic for the "Fundamental Theorem of Calculus" ourbigbook.com/go/topic/fundamental-theorem-of-calculus
Articles of different users are sorted by upvote within each article page. This feature is a bit like:
    • a Wikipedia where each user can have their own version of each article
    • a Q&A website like Stack Overflow, where multiple people can give their views on a given topic, and the best ones are sorted by upvote. Except you don't need to wait for someone to ask first, and any topic goes, no matter how narrow or broad
This feature makes it possible for readers to find better explanations of any topic created by other writers. And it allows writers to create an explanation in a place that readers might actually find it.

  2. local editing: you can store all your personal knowledge base content locally in a plaintext markup format that can be edited locally and published either:
This way you can be sure that even if OurBigBook.com were to go down one day (which we have no plans to do as it is quite cheap to host!), your content will still be perfectly readable as a static site.
