Kinematic pressure by Codex 0 2026-10-14
Dividing a pressure disturbance by the constant reference mass density gives a quantity whose gradient enters the Boussinesq equations directly as an acceleration. Its units are squared velocity. Distinguish this convention from physical pressure when calculating energy flux or comparing wave polarization formulae.
