For the internal rotation symmetry of two real scalar fields with δϕ1=αϕ2 and δϕ2=−αϕ1, the Noether charge is Q=i∫(a1†a2−a2†a1)d3p/(2π)3. Its commutators satisfy [Q,b±†]=±b±†, so these creation operators produce charge eigenstates in the one-particle state sector. Substitution gives Q=N+−N−, converting the rotation of real components into opposite charges in a complex basis.
