Noether charge ($Q$)

A Noether charge is the spatial integral $Q=\int j^0{d}^{3}x$ of a Noether current. It is time-independent when the current has vanishing flux through the spatial boundary, and in a Hamiltonian formulation it generates the associated continuous symmetry.
