Every pair of coordinate basis fields commutes:
[∂i,∂j]=0.
(1)
Therefore a frame containing two fields with nonzero Lie bracket of vector fields cannot be induced by a coordinate system.

Commuting coordinate basis
On the punctured Euclidean plane, the orthonormal polar frame is
r=∂r,θ=r1∂θ.
(1)
Its bracket is [r,θ]=−θ/r, so it is not a coordinate basis even though (∂r,∂θ) is one.
