Coordinate basis ($\partial /\partial x^{\mu }$)

Local coordinates $x^{\mu }$ induce the coordinate-basis tangent vectors ${\partial }_{\mu }=\partial /\partial x^{\mu }$. Under a coordinate change they transform by the chain rule.
