Ideal steady flow with incompressible flow, inviscid flow and irrotational flow can predict zero drag on a body that has nonzero drag in a real fluid. The zero-circulation cylinder pressure coefficient distribution gives an explicit cancellation example; viscosity and flow separation are absent from that model.
