For a bidisperse kinematic sedimentation model with normalized suspension concentrations qi, isolated speeds Wi, and a stationary deposit with p1+p2=1, the upward deposit-front speed magnitude obeys s(pi−qi)=Wiqi(1−qi). Adding gives s=∑iWiqi(1−qi)/(1−∑iqi); substitution determines each deposited fraction. These are Rankine-Hugoniot conditions with a stationary compacted branch.
