For simple symmetric random walk stopped on hitting −a or b and 0<z<1, choose w>1 by
z=w+w−12,w=z1+1−z2.

Then znw±Xn are martingales. Solving the two boundary equations gives
E0zT=wa+b−w−(a+b)wa+wb−w−a−w−b.
