Original construction of smooth magnetic monopoles in broken non-Abelian gauge theories. Section 2, equations (2.4)–(2.5), gives gauge/scalar masses; section 3, equation (3.3), printed p. 282, relates the classical monopole energy to the vector-boson scale. Already existing person and Work by Gerardus 't Hooft reused.
