In the faithful matrices g=(a0b1) with a>0, the Maurer-Cartan form has entries da/a and db/a. Thus the left-invariant differential forms σD=da/a, σT=db/a obey dσD=0 and dσT=−σD∧σT. The Lie algebra generators satisfy [D,T]=T.
