Using r=(x,y,z) and constant a, the divergence is
∂i(ϵijkrjak)=ϵijkδijak=0.
(1)
For the curl, the curl of a cross product identity gives
∇×(r×a)=r(∇⋅a)−a(∇⋅r)+(a⋅∇)r−(r⋅∇)a=0−3a+a−0.
(2)
Thus
∇⋅(r×a)=0,∇×(r×a)=−2a.
(3)
For a quick sign check, taking a=ez gives r×a=(y,−x,0), whose curl is (0,0,−2).
