Parametrize the curve by r(x)=(x,ex,ex) for 0≤x≤1. Then dr=(1,ex,ex)dx and F(r(x))=(e2x,x,ex). Their dot product gives the line integral
∫CF⋅dr=∫01(2e2x+xex)dx.
(1)
Using integration by parts for the second term,
∫CF⋅dr=[e2x+(x−1)ex]01,∫CF⋅dr=e2.
