The Pauli matrix multiplication law is σiσj=δijI2+iϵijkσk, so {σi,σj}=2δijI2. Block multiplication of the chiral gamma-matrix representation gives
(γ0)2=I4,γ0γi=(−σi00σi),γiγ0=(σi00−σi),
(1)
and
γiγj=(−σiσj00−σiσj).
(2)
Thus the mixed anticommutators vanish and the spatial ones are −2δijI4. With the Minkowski metric convention η=diag(1,−1,−1,−1),
{γμ,γν}=2ημνI4.
(3)
These matrices therefore represent the required Clifford algebra.
