b
For a binomial distribution, the score function is
θY−1−θn−Y=θ(1−θ)Y−nθ.
(1)
Its squared expected value is I(θ)=n/[θ(1−θ)], using the binomial distribution variance nθ(1−θ). Hence the Jeffreys prior is
πJ(θ)=πθ(1−θ)1,0<θ<1,
(2)
the Beta distribution Beta(1/2,1/2). The factor n is independent of θ and disappears on normalization.
