Differentiate the affine relation with respect to x and y:
aux+bvx=0,auy+bvy=0.
(1)
Using the Cauchy-Riemann equations, the second equation becomes
bux−avx=0.
(2)
Thus
(abb−a)(uxvx)=0.
(3)
The determinant is −(a2+b2)=0, so ux=vx=0 and therefore f′=0. A holomorphic function with zero derivative on a connected open set is constant. Hence f is constant, as in analytic function with image in an affine real line.
