For E>0, write ψ=Asinkx+Bcoskx with k2=2mE/ℏ2. The condition at zero gives B=0; the condition at L gives kL=nπ, where n=1,2,…. The n=0 solution is identically zero and is not a state. Normalization gives A2∫0Lsin2(nπx/L)dx=A2L/2=1. Hence
A=L2,En=cn2,c=2mL2π2ℏ2.

Choosing positive A fixes an irrelevant overall phase.
